Archie Rose Whiskey Tour

I took Mick out on a whiskey blend tour at the famous Archie Rose Distillery in Rosebery, Sydney. I don’t like whiskey at all and I booked this tour with the intention of letting him drink two of everything. He was indeed buzzed by the end of it 😂.
This was the setup on each person’s desk. There were 7 blends of whiskey to taste and mix together. We were under the impression this was a whiskey-making class from start to finish but alas, it was only mixing well-known branded wishkeys.
Our instructor Ben was very informative and enthusiastic. He provided us with different types of grains to smell and eat so we could understand the blended whiskeys.
There was a bar at the back with 2 other staff roaming the area for anyone who wanted to order another cocktail or canapes. We had dinner plans already so we stuck to our free gin.
These Archie Rose bottles were so cute!! 😍 We mixed our flavours in the beaker and poured whatever we wanted to take home. There was a naming contest to pick the best name for potentially future alcohol releases and the winner got to take home an Archie Rose hand sanitiser.

Thanks for reading! Just wanted to share this fun experience 😋.
