Vine & Grind

Vine & Grind is a colourful cafe located inside the Westfield at Liverpool. We have eaten here three times in the last year but only took pictures once, soz 😫.

We ordered the churros french toast. This was a heavily sweet meal, as expected when we have churros, chocolate dip and caramelised banana. The churro toast was crunchy, soft and airy inside. The fruits added the right balance however the banana was definitely a few days old (it had that gritty aftertaste), and the berries tasted thawed. The custard was a nice, light touch.
This was the vine brekky. It was like other standard breakfast boards, valued at $22 and definitely filled us up. The potato gems (or tater tots) were a nice touch. The poached eggs were well cooked. The sujik sausage pieces were too small and thin. Overall, a very carbohydrate heavy meal. If we were on a diet or if this was our cheat meal, we would’ve reconsidered saving that ticket for something with more variety in flavour.
Our friend ordered hotcakes. As pretty as it was, the taste was questionable. She said the hotcakes were dense. The butter scotch was a tad overkill, as the hotcakes were already sweet enough. The fruits added a refreshing feel to the bite.

review

Vine & Grind is one of our local cafes. We usually choose to eat here as a last resort after shopping or when we have woken up at 2PM. There are no outstanding dishes. In terms of location, you can easily find it in the centre of the shopping centre.

Due to their location, they can get quite busy so you may have to wait 20 mins for a table. We have felt forgotten sometimes 😕. We don’t recommend travelling 30+ mins to come to eat here as the food is not worth it.

Thanks for reading!
