Nimbo

Tucked away on Hardware Street, Nimbo is a specialty dessert café renowned for its seasonal bingsu and toast creations. We were looking for a late night dessert joint, and craving matcha, we binged out on their whole menu on a random Thursday night.

Food

The thick matcha strawberry toast arrived golden and crisp, its fluffy center soaking up a luscious layer of matcha custard. Fresh strawberries added a burst of sweetness, while a scoop of earthy matcha ice cream melted slowly over the top. A final sprinkle of speculaas crumb gave every bite a warm, spiced crunch. This was $23.50.
The injeolmi mochi bingsu was pure roasty-toasty magic! Fluffy shaved ice met creamy tofu ice cream, swirls of red bean paste, and a shower of nutty injeolmi powder, all sprinkled with crunchy almond slivers. And just when we thought it couldn’t get cuter, a sliver of house-made dango crowned the whole creation like a dessert jewel. This was $23.50.

Drinks

We got most of the drinks on the menu, price ranging from $7.50 to $10. From left to right: yuzu matcha spritz, iced ube matcha, matcha earl grey, matcha cold brew, and a strawberry yuzu soda.

Service

It was very tight in this little nook. We waited about 10 minutes for a table at 9:30pm on this Thursday. Service was good.

Review

We would definitely return but for takeaway only. None of these items were worth the wait or dine in experience.

Thanks for reading. Happy eating!
