Akihabara is the shopping hub for electronics, anime, manga and souvenirs. There are trading card stores, maid cafes, animal cafes, and 5-storey sex shops. It’s a very quirky suburb filled with tourists and weebs, myself included. We love stopping by for new merchandise and Pepper Lunch (LINK).
Did you know that every Sunday at 3PM, the roads are closed, allowing locals to walk on the road for an hour? We were confused as to why the barriers were up and the police officers were whistling at traffic until we realized we were lucky enough to witness this weekly event. So cool!
