Parco Ramen

The changing of the season and city means frosty winds; an experience we have been privileged not to experience often yet. And along with the shivers and stiff joints comes an inert craving for hot ramen. We found this spot randomly on a Tuesday in Moonee Ponds and it was the perfect pick-me-up for Melbourne’s autumn.

Food

The flavour of this lobster ramen was delicious – buttery, creamy with a moderate amount of crustacean. It had SA crayfish, slippery lobster, bean sprouts, spring onions, whole marinated egg, roasted nori and sesame for $26.

The only downside was the temperature. It was served a tad-higher-than-warm, not “piping hot”, so it cooled down really fast by the third slurp and didn’t give us a satisfying bite overall.
This was the classic tori shio ramen topped with charred pork belly, marinated bamboo shoots, dashi egg, greens and toasted sesame seeds. It was good, nothing special for $20.
This was an onsen egg with dried egg noodles. They used a chilli oil sauce. It was creative and interesting – but didn’t really hit.

Review

Overall a decent feed, with friendly service.
