Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill

If there is an opportunity to dine at Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants then you bet we will do everything we can to get a seat. We chose his Pub and Grill over the Vegas-popular Hells’ Kitchen because we wanted to try the famous burger.

Food

Little did we know, we would end up trying his famous beef wellington. THIS WAS FRIGGIN DELICIOUS! 🤤🤤🤤 It was a prime cut of roasted beef on top of a pile of creamy mashed Yukon gold potatoes, cooked root vegetables and a dash of red wine demi for $70USD.

We could see why this is a culinary masterpiece. The beef was so flavourful and tender, seasoned with a good amount of salt and pepper. The duxelle (chopped mushroom flavour) had a aromatic savouriness to it that enhanced the beefiness amazingly.

And my gosh, the puff pastry was flakey, light and buttery, encasing the beef in a golden crusted shell. Even the mash and vegetables were magnifique – creamy potatoes, soft and thoroughly-cooked carrots and a rich sauce to finish the bite 🤤.
We had to try the cottage pie too because this is a dish we don’t often find in Australia. The layer of roasted mashed potatoes had a delectable charred shell on it, revealing blobs of soft and fluffy starchy potatoes inside. Underneath this bed was a layer of savoury and well-seasoned ground beef that had cooked in its own juices.
Our main purpose for this visit was to try the grilled pub burger. This had a layer of English sharp cheddar and apple wood-smoked bacon inside the burger, with fries on the side for $27USD.

This was decadent and juicy, and everything a perfect beef burger should be 🤤. The bun was fluffy. The patty was moist and savoury. The bacon was crispy with the right amount of bite to it. And the tomato and lettuce added a refreshing sweet balance, tying everything together.
This was the lobster mac and cheese with Maine lobster and garlic breadcrumbs for $26USD. This was rich and delicious. The lobster was really fresh, with sweet tones, drowned out by the thick melted cheese. The pasta was soft, and not really al dente, but it suited the theme of the dish.
The sticky toffee pudding for $15USD was amazing and the perfect choice to end our night of eating. The pudding was spongy, dripped in English toffee sauce and topped with a cold scoop of vanilla ice cream. It had a good balance, and was not overly sweet or rich.

Service

The American tipping system aside, we felt the service was one of the best service we had in Las Vegas. There was genuine care and passion from the staff to provide good service to the expectations of Gordon Ramsay himself, so we didn’t feel obligated to tip – rather we chose to tip.

Review

The food was spectacular. The vibes were casual. And the service was great. What more could you want from a dining experience? We highly recommend trying the beef wellington at any of Gordon’s many locations if you ever get the opportunity.

Thanks for reading! Happy eating!
