Melbourne, Australia 2022

I’m writing this travel diary in case I forget about this weekend in my old age πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ¦³πŸ˜…. We travelled to Melbourne from Friday 11th to Tuesday 15th of March for Karnival, the first hardstyle rave back in Australia since Covid. This is what we got up to.

Our adventure

We stayed with Park Hyatt again, this time in the King suite. Got to greet Mr Walker 🐢😍.
We met up with A, A&E at Hector’s Deli (FOOD REVIEW) followed by some day drinking at Bomba and QT Bar. And then a sneaky snack at Hawker Chan (FOOD REVIEW).
A&T took us out for a fantastic tempura omakase at Tempura Hajime (FOOD REVIEW). And then we went to Berlin Bar, recommended by a stranger on the plane with the craziest stories about NYC Billionaires and hedge funds.

I really enjoyed Berlin Bar because it’s divided into East (rich) and West (poor) Berlin so there was a huge contrast in design and layout. We also got free drinks πŸ˜†.
The next morning A&J drove us to Le Bajo Milkbar (FOOD REVIEW) and Pie Thief (FOOD REVIEW), then to DFO for some shopping. I was digging my outfit this day 😘✨
We had dinner with our friends D&J at Maha Restaurant (FOOD REVIEW) and then I think it was a house party πŸ₯΄.
The Sunday was rave day. We had lunch with S&T at Tim Ho Wan. This was very disappointing for yum cha / dim sum. They only had 10 items on their menu, the flavours were off and it was expensive.
We tried to get Dodee Paidang for Lunch but both locations were packed with 1hr queues so we ended up back at Hawker Chan πŸ˜‚.
For dinner, we tried the famous Panda Hot Pot (FOOD REVIEW).
And we fly back Tuesday morning.

This was a quick post for our memory files πŸ˜™. Thank you for reading haha.
