Taiwan Village

It’s hard finding good and cheap food in this inflated world, so stumbling into Taiwan Village was a perfect weekend dream. We waited about 15 mins on a Saturday morning.

Food

Obviously we had to try their taiwanese sausage and braised pork bento for $17.95.

The sausage had a nice spice and season to it, although it was nothing compared to the ones we had in Taipei. The glass noodles were delicious – a good soft texture with a sweet soy glaze. The egg and tomato was homey and comforting. The mushrooms were blander to balance out the overall bento.
The crispy popcorn chicken for $12.95 was perfect! It was a savoury bite, of thin seasoned batter with the juiciest filling. The fried leafs added a nice airy texture to the bite too.
The traditional tofu pudding for $7.95 was soooo good. Silky soft tofu with the right amount of sweetened syrup, reminding us of our Asian childhood.

Review

We will definitely come back. The service was expected of an Asian restaurant. We were seated outside and it was packed.

Thanks for reading. Happy eating.
