Bills

We rarely make the hour long commute East but when we do, we maximise the experience with a 5KM Bondi to Bronte run and a delicious pit stop at Bills Australia.

Food

This was toasted rye, avocado, lime, chilli, coriander with an extra poached egg for $20.50. It was an earthy and acidic bite with perfect soft eggs hidden underneath the herbs. The toast had a crispy crust, with a fluffy bed. It was ruined towards the end because all the oil and liquid melted the remaining bread centre.
Everyone wanted nutrition reinstalled into their veins so they ordered a winter fruit bowl for $18, with coconut yogurst and lsa for an extra $4. It’s a very straightforward review.
These sweet corn fritters, roast tomato, spinach and avocado salsa for $22 was balanced and delish. The corn fritters were sweet and perfectly fried to a thin layer. The avocado salsa was smooth, with a sweet zing. And the tomatoes were lightly toasted.
The ricotta hotcakes, banana and honeycomb butter for $26 were soft clouds, but they were nothing compared to Happyfield (LINK).
On the topic of health, we got Bills chopped salad for $19. This was a colorful green medley of edamame, cucumber, cabbage, radish, coriander and corn.
These potato and feta rösti, poached eggs, herb yoghurt, pickles and tea-smoked salmon was delicious but hella expensive at $30. The serving was small but the eggs had a perfectly gooey centre. East Sydney things…

Drinks

Their hot chocolate was good! It was very rich and creamy, with a thick layer of froth milk.

Service

It was average. Standard cafe service, what can you expect..

Review

It was a decent cafe experience. The food was delicious but nothing amazing. The price was not too bad, considering the location of the cafe and I got away from Bondi without a parking ticket. Woo!

Thanks for reading! Happy eating.
