Waku waku is a cosy Japanese restaurant in Melbourne, known in Japan for their Hokkaido soup curry.
Food
Mick got the charcoal-grilled chicken drumstick pumpkin curry for $28.60. The curry was sweet and decadent, balanced by the light textures of udon. The chicken was good, tender and flavourful.
The slow cooked wagyu don for $35.70 was really delicious. Tenderised beef slices with the perfect amount of charred and sweet sukiyaki sauce, complemented by the gooey onsen egg and furikake.
Review
We recommend this place for a unique Japanese dining experience. Not sure if we would have this craving often in the future.
