We were curious if other Asian cuisines would slap in Bali the way it slaps in Vietnam and Japan, so finding a spot that did Taiwanese beef noodle soup made us yeet to the spot immediately. This is a local Taiwanese restaurant in Canggu.
Food
This was spicy shrimp and pork wontons for 105,000 rupiah (~$9.50). It was tender and filling. The peanut sauce was rich, adding a delicious sweetness to the chilli sauce.
The Papa Lee’s chicken bites were 55,000 rupiah (~$5). They had a thin crispy batter, and the juiciest meat. It was seasoned with msg, chicken powder and sugar. The fried kale was a nice textural touch.
The truffle shrimp and pork xiao long bao were 180,000 rupiah (~$17) and very average. The skin was too thick. The filling flavour was mild. The truffle scent was moderate. We felt grifted for paying $4.50 a dumpling for truffle oil lol.
The beauty we arrived for: Taiwanese beef noodle soup for 150,000 rupiah (~$13.50). It was delicious! The broth was rich, with a deep beef flavour. It also wasn’t too fattening or oily. The noodles were chewy. There was a lot of meat pieces and each piece was very tender.

Service
The service was great, as usual for Bali. Attentive and friendly. They did pressure us to write a 5 star google review at the end, which soured our overall opinion of the restaurant.

We recommend this spot if you’re looking for a different cuisine in Bali.
