Taipei, Taiwan 2025

We traveled to Taipei for the first of many honeymoons, spending a lovely 4 days. We arrived a bit too early, underestimating our ability on a red-eye flight and luckily were able to nap with an early check in at Shangri-La Taipei (LINK).

We explored every day, walking to most of the locations and stumbling across iconic Japanese restaurants such as Tsujihan (LINK), Creamia icecream, and Kura Sushi train. We climbed Elephant mountain (LINK), found an abandoned gym, went crazy on beef noodle soup: HERE and HERE.
Our friend told us it would be empty on Lunar New Year but she’s cooked because the city was PACKED. The same friend also convinced us to book Orange Shabu (LINK) for an 11pm dining session so by 2am, we were absolutely dead and stuffed with food 😂.

We finally got to try Din Tai Fung (LINK) and Xing Fu Tang – ELITE IN TAIWAN.

On our last full day, we traveled to Juifen (LINK) and Houtong Cat Village (LINK) via train but somehow accidentally ended up on a bus back to Taipei, and then had to uber out directly to Juifen in the end anyways *facepalm*.
This was our most favourite trip of the year, ending it with a nice Biz flight to Vietnam. The China Airlines Business Lounge is very nice, with one of the best arrangement of foods and drinks on hand.
