Pizzette is a casual Italian restaurant in Fitzroy that offers Roman-style pizzas, which definitely reminded us of Pizzarium Bonci (LINK). They serve by the slice for $6-8 each, with a full tray pizza costing $90+.
Food
This was prosciutto with cheese, rocket, cherry tomatoes, and more Parmesan cheese. It was decent, a bit greasier and doughier than we liked.
The mortadella was a good flavour combination of cheese, burrata cheese and pistacchio cream. The creaminess of the burrata really added life to this bite otherwise it would have been dry, bland and average.
The estiva was tomato sauce, cheese ham and pineapple. It tasted like a healthier Pizza Hut. It was good 6/10.
Service
The staff were wonderful. She was so friendly and helpful. It was empty when we arrived. There was only one other order being filled during our dining experience (Friday night). They definitely get more uber orders than dine in.
Review
We were a bit disappointed in the pizzas. Perhaps due to living so close to Shop 225 (LINK), we had higher expectations. Everything tasted average. We did appreciate being able to mix and match pizzas. We would not return.
