Bandar Nelayan is a high end seafood restaurant in Bali, Indonesia. It was a spot we traveled 40 minutes one-way to dine in because we were craving crab and trusted the reviews regarding the cleanliness of the restaurant. There is a low risk of Bali belly here.
Food
Everything was fresh and delicious! The tuna jaw was the coolest thing we ordered. It was the most meaty tuna we’ve had, where we could taste the muscles and leaner meat. The overall bill was about $300 aud.
Service
Since the restaurant was higher end, with a high price tag for Bali, we expected superb service. Unfortunately that’s not what we got. Most of the staff seemed young and clueless, as if they couldn’t see our hands waving at them as they walked past. They spent a lot of time standing 5 metres away, talking to one another (mostly females). Only one man, our main server, was attentive and great. We tipped him directly.
Review
We highly recommend this spot for a safe seafood dining experience.
