Surasang Melbourne 수라상 멜버른

This was one of the best Korean restaurants we’ve been to in Melbourne. They are located in the heart of CBD, and serve some of the most flavourful seolleongtang (ox bone soup) we’ve had in this cold city. They also have variety of dishes and an extensive menu.

Food

The variety of banchan we were served, with unlimited refills.
This was the boneless fried chicken for $38. It was crispy, with juicy meat and the right amount of seasoning.
Like we said, this seolleongtang for $28 was so flavourful. The broth was a clear milky colour, and each piece of ox bone meat fell of the bone.
This spicy carbonara rice cake for $26 or tteokbokki were some of the softest, most pillowy rice cakes we’ve bitten into. The were so squishy and enjoyable in mouthfeel. The sauce was delicious too – indeed spicy, with the right amount of cream and cheese to soothe the palate.
We also got the squid and chive pancake for $28. This was perfectly crispy on all edges, with a good amount of squid spread throughout the whole dish.

Service

The service was great: fast, attentive, friendly. And look at all the people who had visited Surasang in the past.

Review

We loved it here and would definitely return.

Thanks for reading. Happy eating!
