Last night I stayed at Sunland Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. This was my first hotel experience in Vietnam.
Disclosure: We want to share our hotel experiences with details and honesty since there is a lot of sponsored/fake content out there. Also, we might re-book a place and this helps us remember where we stayed 😂. Our photos were taken on our Sony RX100V and we did not use a wide-angle lens.

Location
The hotel was located 10 min motorbike ride from the tourist attraction Bui Vien Street. It was fairly central, located in district 1 of Ho Chi Minh City. There was a large driveway so cars and taxis could meet at the front door. The rooftop view was scenic.
Room
Bed: Three double beds for $60AUD. It was not a bad price and the beds were quite comfortable.
Cleanliness: I could not find anything wrong with the room
Space: There was a lot of room to open my luggage and sit on the couch.
Noise: I could faintly hear the neighbours. My sleep was good though, but this may have been a contribution of the alcohol we had 😅.

Air-conditioning: I did not use this
Technology: Wi-fi was fast. Charging ports were located next to the bed.
Bathroom: Lots of space, good faucet and bright lighting.
Amenities: There were a few perks in this hotel.

Rooftop Pool
The rooftop pool was a nice relaxing feature. The temperature of the pool was warm. The area was secluded with 12 chairs to relax on. Not the best view, but still a nice spot to come chill.
Rooftop Bar
The rooftop bar was peaceful too. I loved the view! There were heaps of chairs to sit on. Once seated, the staff bring over a menu of cocktails. And the bill comes out at the end of the visit.
Buffet
Finally, the breakfast buffet. There was a variety of options and they all tasted delicious. There was a chef who made pho, fresh out of the pot.
