Hotel Nikko Osaka

We stayed at Hotel Nikko Osaka during our short 4-day visit in March 2020 and it was definitely one of our more boujee experiences. Everything about this hotel was high class, from the staff greeting us 24/7 to the premium coffee capsules. We booked the Premium Nikko Triple Room for $450/night.

Disclosure: We want to share our hotel experiences with details and honesty since there is a lot of sponsored/fake content out there. Also, we might re-book a place and this helps us remember where we stayed 😂. Our photos were taken on our Sony RX100V and we did not use a wide-angle lens.

Location

The hotel was very convenient and easy to find. It was located on the north side of Dotonbori and only took us 7 minutes to walk there. One of its entrance was above Shinsaibashi station (Midosuji line) so for quick access to the train lines, all we had to do was take the two escalators down to the basement floor. There were a lot of luxury stores nearby with Cartier, Gucci and Louis Vuitton across the road.

Room

Bed: Apologies for the mess. I took these photos on our last night LOL. We got a double bed each and the mattress was a firm-softness. We had the best sleep here.

Cleanliness: The room was very tidy upon arrival. I did not find any stains or mould. Every time we returned home, the room was tidy. The staff provided new towels daily but for environmental reasons, we opted for our bed linens to be changed every second day.
Space: So spacious! The rich sure live in luxury. We had so much room for our 3 large luggage and belongings. We even had space to exercise 😂 There was a couch running along the wall, opposite to our beds, and our belongings looked like this most of the time…
Noise: Non-existent. The rooms were soundproof.

Air-conditioning: This was silent and stable – we didn’t have to constantly adjust the temperature.

Technology: TV showed local shows. The Wi-Fi was fast and consistent. The lighting in the bathroom was amazing!!!
Bathroom: Sorry for the mess! There were two sinks with great lighting. They provided plenty of towels, bathrobes and hand towels. The bath/shower area was separated in its own closed room that never leaked. There were a desk and stool for my makeup area too.
Extras: They always topped up the coffee capsules, water bottles and utensils. We loved the extra space by the door to tuck away suitcases and jackets.

Amenities: We didn’t use any other amenities because ya know, there was a pandemic happening but we did like how easy it was to get to places like Dotonbori or Amerikamura.

Review

Overall, it was such a lovely stay and we would definitely book with them again.
Thanks for reading! 😄
