Fushimi Inari Shrine

If you’ve ever seen pictures of Japan, or have friends who have been, you will have seen these famous torii gates. The Fushimi Inari Shrine is the head shrine of the Fox, located at the base of a mountain in Kyoto 🦊. There are a few smaller shrines scattered in the mountain, with hundreds of these bright orange torii gates lining the pathway to the top. It takes about 2 hours to walk to the top of the mountain.

We’ve been twice; in 2017 and today. Just sharing some photos of the place.
These photos were taken in 2017 when we wore traditional kimonos for the first time. Due to the restrictions of the dress, I found it difficult to walk in and therefore was unable to climb to the top of the mountain 😅.

The rest of the photos were taken in April 2019, when I was showing my family around.
