Burger & Lobster

When we travel, our minds are open to all kinds of new tastes as long as it is either:

  • Recommended by a trusted local (i.e. friends with great taste lol)
  • Affordable, delicious, and unique to the city we are travelling to
  • A random place stumbled upon that ended up being one of the best meals of our trip

We were walking past Chinatown, London, after our long trip to visit the Queen, and we were debating on what to eat. It felt like fate. We both looked up at the same time, read the sign, and said: “HEY! This is where your/my aunt recommended to eat! Let’s go!”.

Why was this decision a wise one? Because it costed us £31 for 1.5 lb, equivalent to $60 for 0.8 kg 😍😍😍 bargain

entrée

We started with these lobster croquette. This was a nice deep-fried ball of goodness 🤤. It didn’t taste like the average croquette. The potato inside was more smooth and creamy, with a savoury sauce that was drowning the piece of lobster inside the croquette. When we bit into it, the lobster and mash complemented each other so well, yumm!
We got a delicious lobster roll to share – please excuse my dirty hands. It was too good to let the ‘camera eat first’. The lobster was nicely shredded down to decent bite-size pieces. The roll had a great ratio of ingredients from the fresh lobster to the sweet brioche bun. The savoury, creamy, umami flavour of the lobster balanced out the sweetness of the bun so well.

Main Course

Look at the size of Pinchy!! The lobster arrived with a bucket of chips, a bucket of salad and a delicious garlic butter sauce. We were drooling when the sight and smell first hit us. The butterfly lobster was well grilled and peeled right off its skin.

The special sauce was to die for! 😍 It was a garlic flavoured, buttery, creamy, savoury goodness with a hint of citric undertones. We poured it over everything. The salad was also top-notch too. It was a mixed spinach salad, with a very good ratio of balsamic glaze and Parmesan cheese.

review

This was such a good find and we highly recommend Burger & Lobster. We plan to return to London on the 20th of March and you can guess where we’re having lunch again 🦞.

Until then, thanks for reading!
