Even with the Covid international lockdowns, there was still a long queue of people waiting to eat tonight at 8PM despite its neighbouring restaurants being completely empty. We lined up for 30 minutes. Imagine if we had visited during the peak travel season 😱

Traditionally, customers are given the ingredients and allowed to cook their own okonomiyaki themselves however in this restaurant, due to their popularity, the staff do the cooking at the table.
The white blocks were cheese cubes infused into the base of the okonomiyaki. Everything smelled so good as the grill cooked up our food 🤤.
We ordered a pork belly okonomiyaki and octopus okonomiyaki to share. The okonomiyaki was served with Worcestershire sauce. The cabbage still had fresh crispiness to it, despite the heat. The meats were tender and seasoned, its savoury juices dripping into the cabbage. The crispy edge of the batter was a contrasting texture to bite into. It was really good and very delicious.
We also ordered yakisoba, a stir-fry noodle dish. The wheat noodles were cooked to al dente and had both a crispy edge and soft chewiness to it. The savoury pieces of pork were divine. This was a perfect dish to go with the squishy cabbage of the okonomiyaki.

We really enjoyed dinner here. The vibe was chill and loud, perfect for a group of friends to come eat and drink. We probably would not eat here again if there is a long queue because waiting more than an hour would not be worth it when there are plenty of other restaurants in Osaka to explore.
