This was a revisit with some friends so we could experience the vibes during the day. And we 100% recommend booking the patio if the weather looks clear (although it is still cold upstairs haha Melbourne tings). Our last visit is here (LINK).
Food
The beef bourguignon pies for $7.50 each were so good, we had to eat it again. It’s like a flavourful and decadent Aussie staple.
This was the delicious lobster and leek croquette, 2 for $18.50.
This was saumon gravlax, cured salmon with sauce gribiche for $34.50.
This was the hand-cut steak tartare for $36.50. It was an eye-fillet with mustard and potato crisps. Chef kiss*
This was a buttery indulging bite of lobster omlette in crayfish sauce for $49.50.
This was the King George Whiting with mustard Parisienne for $64.50. The fish was cooked perfectly, crispy skin and fresh flesh.
This was a rib-eye steak 600g for $135. There were 5 types of sauce we got to pick to put on our individual plates.
I forgot if this was a special or another item as nothing looks similar on my screenshot of the menu. We remember it being really creamy and full of umami sweetness from the Moreton bay bug.
This was the gratin de chou-fleur for $19.50. It was baked cauliflower with comté cheese.
